Glen is a farm boy from the midwest (Missouri) growing up in a farming community, baling hay every summer, riding horses, etc. He came out to Arizona because there’s no winter, they had a good school, and he ended up getting married and having kids (3 boys).
Glen has always tried to do things that are creative because … you know … he likes being creative. He was once big into music, singing in choirs, playing instruments, and his original plan was to teach music in high school. Then he didn’t because he got caught up working in retail and was really good at it so that’s what he does. Glen is a district manager for a company that operates gas stations.
Faith is a big part of his life. He doesn’t like to be pushy, but very much enjoys talking about it, and learning what others believe.
He loves being involved in his kids’ lives, whatever they like to do. His kids jump around to everything. They’re samplers, always trying something new. Glen’s family is a gaming family. Everyone in the household plays video games. It’s just something they all enjoy, including his wife.
Glen is happy where he is right now with his wife and kids, maybe a juicy steak with loaded potatoes, topped with a movie night and root beer floats.
Glen doesn’t like mayonnaise.
Tony was born in Portland, Oregon, and now lives in Casa Grande, Arizona. He is a hardcore Whovian, collects sonic screwdrivers, Harry Potter wands, He-Man figurines, and anything with flamingos on it.
When he’s not writing Dungeon Doors content, Tony is a high school English teacher. He is allergic to avocados and sunflower seeds, is bi-polar, and often stares longingly at the blue, blue sky wishing for rain and wondering what he’s doing in Arizona.
In college he played Lord of the Rings Risk every Thursday for hours, and it has remained his favorite game. “My strategy is ever-changing and flawless.”
Tony has been married 16 years to a beautiful Canadian (say ‘eh’ or ‘aboot’ and he’ll punch you in the face. His wife won’t, though. Canadians are just too damn nice). He is also a father of 5 (a number even he thinks is just a bit high, but he loves them all … usually). He hates pets, yet each of his kids have one, including a hyperactive and destructive dog, goldfish that just won’t die, a guinea pig, a hamster, and a budgie bird that evokes terror and profanity whenever it gets loose and swoops at him.
Someday Tony hopes to ‘befriend’ (get abducted by) super advanced aliens, bring their technology back to Earth, get super rich, then be spared when the same aliens eventually invade.
Mike got married in 2016, has 2 dogs, and just bought a house. He is from California originally, but moved to Phoenix for college forever ago, and stuck around.
Mike likes making games. Growing up, Mike’s favorite board game was always Uno. It was both simple and extremely competitive. Nowadays, D&D is the favorite. It’s the storytelling and openness of the game that captures him, and he’s currently navigating that openness as a gnome wizard that operates a large arcane-mechanical Minotaur Barbarian. As for video games, “Overwatch is my jam!”
Mike calls making Dungeon Doors his real job, but he does have an actual job that makes money and stuff as the senior graphic designer for Goodwill in Central and Northern Arizona, where he’s a bit of a perfectionist. Even when he thinks his designs are great, he is always seeing some flaw in the design that he’s sure EVERYONE will notice (spoilers: no one ever notices).
Mike is very protective of his tight-knit circle of friends. It’s not easy to join that circle. It’s exclusive. He grills people. There has to be a connection so he can be sure there won’t be messy stuff in the group.
He is a sucker for a tasty plate of nachos, can pick up items, and do many things, with his toes, and Mike is Starfox.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Harrison realized after a recent trip that he would much rather be home playing with his dogs than anywhere else. He just misses them way too much when he leaves town.
When not conceptualizing and creating hit card games, Harrison works in software development, and when not working, he enjoys evenings at home with more food than he can eat, people to talk to, and a game for entertainment.
Speaking of food, for Harrison variety is the spice of life. One day is pizza the next is buffalo chicken, then a burger. “Don’t try and stifle my creativity!”
When it comes to games, Harrison’s favorite is monopoly, understanding that sometimes the best move is to work together while other times it all about number 1. Generally, he wants games where you can work towards being better, rather than just having fun. Being fun is fine, but he thrives on the constant betterment. That’s why games like Cards against Humanity drive him nuts. It’s fun to play, but he doesn’t learn from it or discover how to become strategically better at it.
Harrison is known most frequently for his big sexy brain, or his butt. He hears both.
